We did close...-Brady

And move. And I took my midterms. And I am still completely overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do.

Moving is hard because everything just takes longer. You have to work through a bunch of inconveniences. For example, we don't have internet access yet, which I need about a billion times a day to get work done. And since stuff isn't put away yet, we spend our mornings stepping over boxes and opening every cabinet door to try and remember where the frying pan is.

I may be quiet on this blog for a week or so. Hopefully my sisters will keep you entertained for a bit.

We closed! - Brady

We closed on our new condo in Chicago today and are so, so excited. It's going to be a crazy moving process, but we are really thrilled. If you need my new address, let me know!

And please come visit us in our new East Lakeview home!

Welllll...-Brady

I think I'm going to train for another marathon. I've been reading all these blogs posts written by people who ran the Chicago one this year, and I've gotten the itch. I've chosen Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota - June 18, 2011.

Rumor has it Kevin and Kelly may join me...

I'm thinking I want to try and finish in 5 hours or less. That's going to be tough - my fastest half marathon time is 2:40, so I've got to improve quite a bit. I'm pretty psyched, though. As much of a pain as training can be, I liked having an athletic goal like that to work toward. Made me feel kinda awesome.

Fun Week! -Amy

I had a fun week this week! First, I went with Brady and Kevin to see "La Porte, Indiana" the documentary at the Gene Siskal theater in Chicago. It was so cool! I think these people did a great job of depicting La Porte, and it was fun to watch. I would recommend it to anyone, but especially to La Porte people! Go Slicers!

Check out the trailer by clicking the picture below:

Then, this weekend has been an awesome one! I left the husband at home and headed back to good old LaPorte, IN for a girls weekend! We went to Tabor Hill Winery for some wine tasting, ate at the Red Arrow Roadhouse, and stayed at my friend Ashlie's parents' hotel, Serenity Springs, were we got wonderful massages! It was a GREAT girls weekend.

I even bought some yummy wine from Tabor Hill after the tasting!

Happy 29th to Kevin! - Brady

It was yesterday, but we were too busy wandering around Millennium Park on a gorgeous night and then eating a fantastic dinner and drinking fantastic beer at The Publican to post.

I'll leave you with this action shot of the birthday boy.

I really love this =) -Amy

Here is a video I stole off one of my teacher friend's facebook pages. It's a great comeback to the good old "teacher's don't make squat" argument!
