Something interesting I've noticed since getting here- I get kind of mad/mean when I feel like I don't know what's going on. Not that I was mean to anyone today, but I don't like feeling like I'm unsure of things and that can make me get a little short tempered. I'm just going to have to embrace the fact that I'm new to living in Chicago, I don't know where I'm going, I don't know the public transportation systems, and that is okay! Just roll with it, right? That's part of the fun! (PS- thank you Brady for being my own personal GPS while I was going to the office today!)
All in all I'm so happy to FINALLY be here (even in the pouring down rain!). I can't wait to look for apartments on Monday and to really get to work in the next few weeks.
Yay Chicago!!
Okay, two things:
ReplyDelete1) You'll figure out your way around really fast, I bet. No worries.
2) Ha! Welcome back to the midwest suckah! Here is the weather you've been escaping for the past two years!
But, I kind of like it. Suffering through rain, snow, freezing, and scorching temperatures unites us Chicagoans and just adds to the fun of surviving in a big city. Seriously, you'll love it. Seriously...
