Belated Marathon Monday -Amy

Hi Blog World!

A busy work week makes for a belated Marathon Monday post.  That and the fact that I don't have all that much to report!

Since marathon training doesn't officially start for a few more weeks I have been taking this time to try to get myself in tip top shape in other ways.  I doing a lot of stretching, work-outs for my core, and I am taking glucosamine chondroitin on a regular basis.  This is a supplement that is really good for joint health.  Since my hips and knees tend to give me a little trouble on long runs I decided that this would be a good addition to my routine.  I have already noticed much more comfortable joints during running and other exercise.  Let's hope that continued use improves it even more!

Also, I am feeling pretty good this week because I have lost 13 lbs since I originally signed up for the Indy Mini and for the Chicago Marathon in January.  Overall, I am feeling much less bloated, much more healthy, much more addicted to working out and eating healthy, and pretty successful.  I hope to lose a couple more lbs before the marathon, but I'm feeling pretty good about where I currently stand.

  1. Dang girl- 13 pounds is a lot! Do you think I can lose 13 pounds before we start training in a few weeks?? :)
